Welcome to Stargazer Rottweilers. My name is Dave Roberts and I live with my Rottweilers in the foothills of the beautiful blue ridge mountains of Virginia. We are a small kennel with a logo depicting a rottweiler gazing among the stars - symbolic of our desire to produce sound dogs, which will be stars - whether in conformation, obedience, herding, tracking, therapy - or any other task that they may be asked to perform.
I owned dogs from my very early childhood - but never has any dog left an impression as dear as that of my rottweiler family. My journey in the rottweiler world began with the purchase of our girl "Heidi". I entered into the dog show world with my boy "Stryker" in both conformation and obedience events. The enjoyment that I have derived from showing my dogs cannot be compared to anything else I have ever undertaken. The experience has been challenging but so rewarding.
As members of the American Rottweiler Club and the Colonial Rottweiler Club - we are a code of ethics breeder, striving to produce the highest quality of puppies possible. Our breeding program focuses on conformational correctness with soundness of mind and body. My close association with several long time, well respected rottweiler breeders serves as a continual challenge to quest after knowledge. I cherish these friendships and am so thankful for their willingness to share from their experience so that I, as a breeder, might be an asset to the rottweiler world. As working dogs - our rottweilers live very active lives - but more important than anything else - is that they favorably impact all who come in contact with them - whether it be in the show ring - or a hospital or nursing home.
My breeding program began with my lovely foundation bitch - Ch Eternal Moon Dark Espresso, CGC, TT. After careful research and consideration, Bean gave birth to her first litter of two girls on October 16, 2008. Stargazer A Full Moon Event "Eve" - arrived first - followed by her sister - Stargazer A Full Moon Rising "Rae". The miracle of birth was an event which I will truly never forget. Bean's second litter of 11 puppies arrived on November 15, 2009. Perhaps one day soon you will have an opporunity to meet one of our rising stars in a show venue near you.
